240px-Bankebihari_temple_main_gate_VrindavanVrindavan, August 23rd 2015: Visiting Vrindavan has become more of a fashion than devotion. The visitors neither follow the rule of the temple nor have any respect for this land. They have nothing to do with Bhakti. They seek worldy pleasures rather than the divine attainments. They don’t have time to stand in the queue nor have patience to walk a few meters if not kilometers to visit the temples.
It was around 8 o’clock on the Saturday evening, when a woman devotee from Delhi slapped a security guard of the temple. The only fault on the security guard was not allowing the woman to enter the temple from the gate which was meant for the exit. He didn’t allow the woman devotee to enter the temple from the gate number one, which was designated as the exit gate, by the temple management. The security guard told the woman to use the gate no. 2 and 3 to enter the temple. She insisted to enter the temple from the gate no. 1 only. When the security guard refused strongly, the woman showered her slaps on his face and began using abusive words.
After slapping the security man, the women went to the temple management’s office to lodge a complaint against the guard. The temple management and staff tried to pacify her by telling her the rule of the temple. Later, the management confirmed about the incident and said that no complaint was made with the police, as it was the case related to a woman.
The genuine devotees have expressed their anguish when they heard about the incident.
