Vrindavan, 2017.07.21 (VT): From the Saturday before Hariyali Amavasya, Vrindavan will remain closed to outside traffic.
Five parking areas will be provided on the edge of the town, where pilgrims will be expected to park their cars. Autos and e-rickshaws will be available for hire, to take them into town.
Traffic will be stopped from the Mathura side and Yamuna Expressway, as well as from Chhatikara.
Traffic is expected to be stopped from 8am on Saturday July 22nd, and continue till Wednesday July 26th at 10pm. So far, outside traffic is to be allowed on Monday, making it a four-day traffic ban.
