Vrindavan, 2015.11.12 (VT): Along with the appearance day of Banke Bihari on Bihar Panchami, the auspicious commencement of Srimad-bhagavata Saptaha was conducted. The Mahapurana was grandly welcomed with showers of flowers by devotees. The celebration began at the Banke Bihari Temple.
Women were seen carrying pitchers on their heads while brahmanas chanted veda-mantras to invoke the presence of the Lord. Devotees danced in ecstasy to devotional tunes. Srimad-bhagavatam is considered to be the literary incarnation of the Lord. Bhagavatacharyas Gauravkrishna Gosvami and Atul Krishna Gosvami, along with a large number of devotees from various places attended the event.
