Vrindavan, 2018. 01.12 (VT) On Thursday, Sadhus accompanied officials to mark out an area for a sadhu burial ground. Ten acres are being set aside for the burial ground, and another ten acres will be designated as cow-grazing land.
The burial ground and goshala will most likely be in the vicinity of Sunrakh village, however the exact locations have not been announced.
Vrindavan’s community of Sadhus are pleased that their longstanding demand for a burial ground has finally been granted. Recently, sadhus sent a petition to CM Yogi Adityanath. The CM acted on the request and gave the order the District Magistrate and Shrine board (Braj Tirtha Vikas Parishad) to grant 10 acres of land for the burial ground and another 10 acres for a goshala.
The vice president of the Braj Tirtha Vikas Parishad, Shailjakant Misra, along with Deputy Sarvagram Mishra, SDM Kranti Shekhar Singh and the Regional Administrative Officer carried out the inspection of suitable sites .
The sadhus and sants who accompanied the officials included Mahamandaleshwar Swami Chittaprakashananda, Mahant Fuldol Bihariadas, Swami Ramdevand Saraswati, Mahamandaleshwar Nawalgiri, Swami Sureshanand Paramahansa, Mahant Ram Swaroopadas Brahmachari and Rajnarayan Dwivedi.
