Mathura, 2018.01.15 (VT) CM Yogi Adityanath has scheduled his 5th visit to Mathura since he came to power as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi will visit on 11th February to unveil a statue of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay at Mathura Veterinary University and Cow Research Institute. UP Governor Ram Naik will also attend the ceremony. The university waited for 2 months to receive the response to their request to attend the inauguration of the statue, so there were celebrations when the dignitaries finally agreed to attend.
The statue cost approx. Rs20 Lakh (US $30,000) and was made by artists in Rajasthan.
Mathura Veterinary University was founded in 2001. The university recently made news when it announced plans to expand its Cow Research Institute. The university also offers free training for women in the latest techniques and ancient tradition of cow seva.
