Vrindavan, 2018.01.17 (VT) Plans for an information center, connected with the parking lot at Kalidah have been released. The center will offer information about the pilgrimage places of Braj. Souvenirs and snack food will be available for purchase and the complex will include public toilet facilities.
The information centre is in close proximity to Banke Bihari temple on vacant municipal land next to the parking lot at Kalidah on Parikrama Marg.
The information centre and public toilets are a much needed addition to the tourist services in Vrindavan. Under the HRIDAY scheme, greening and beautification of the Parikrama Marg is currently being carried out. The information centre will include open areas and will have a garden.
Engineer RK Gautam said that the centre will cost around Rs60 Lakh (US$95,000) to build. The centre will offer information and maps of Vrindavan and the entire Braj Mandal. It is estimated that up to fifty people will be able to use the centre at once.
