Vrindavan, 2018.02.05 (VT) Prominent educationalists including prominent Gurugaon educationalist Ravikant, Director Shishupal Singh and Sadvi Ritambara Didima, spoke during a Manthan program at Samvid Gukulam on Saturday.
Shishupal Singh, the director of Samvid Gukulam lit the lamp at the deep prajulan ceremony to inaugurate the meeting, which was attended by hundreds of parents from Braj, Delhi and around India.
Prominent Gurugaon eductionalist, Ravikant, said that, these days, parents are trying to turn their children into robots. He said that there are different problems in trying to manage a school in Gurugaon because everyone is just concerned about money and the cheating tendency is so ingrained that if there is a school photograph for Rs50, teachers will tell their students that the photo costs Rs100, kids tell their parents that they need Rs150 for a photo and the kid’s mother will tell their father that she needs Rs200.

Samvid Kinder World School building
Sadvi Ritambara Didima, the founder of Vatsalyagram Vrindavan, related an anecdote about a mother who bought a ticket for her 6 year old son at the zoo. The ticket seller said, your son looks like he is 4 years old, nobody would say anything, why did you buy him a ticket? The woman said, maybe no one else would know, but my son knows he is 5 years old. Just to save the cost of one ticket, I don’t want to give him the idea that lying is ok.
The Director of Samvid Gukulam, Shishupal Singh talked about the school’s achievements, saying that the school achieved a 100% pass rate in last year’s CBSC board exams mentioning that the school features extensive facilities for sports and cultural activities, which keep the children’s interest in school and studies.
The program was held the newly built Samvid Kinder World School, a separate building just for pre-primary aged children. On par with the best schools in Mathura, the school will feature smart boards and internet in each classroom, low teacher-student ratio and Montessori teaching methods. The school will provide vegetarian meals for the students and will have an after school care facility.
