Vrindavan, 16.02.2018 (Anjana Aggarwal) Today, on the seventh anniversary of the disappearance of Manmadhav Gaudeshwar Vaishnavacharya Shri Atul Krishna Goswamiji Maharaj, Shrimad Bhagwatam and Samadhi poojan was held at Shri Gopal Bhatta Goswamiji‘s Samadhi temple.
Prasadam was distributed among the sants and sadhus of Shri Dham. Guests listened to ‘ashta prahar naam sankirtan’ while remembering Maharaj. A meeting of sants (santsammelan) was held at Shri Radharaman Temple courtyard, and a procession from Shri Radharaman Temple moved through the streets of Vrindavan, past the Sapta Devalaya temples. Shri Gaur Das ji Maharaj’s kirtan attracted onlookers who stopped to watch the auspicious procession move through the streets.
H.H. Atul Krishna Goswamiji Maharaja was the head Goswami of Shri Radharaman temple’s Sriman Madhva-Gaudeshwar-Vasihnava Peetham, after Shri Vijay Krishna Goswamiji maharaj.
An inheritor of the glorious tradition of interpreting the scriptures from his predecessors, Atul Krishna Goswamiji was well versed in Srimad Bhagavatam and was renowned for his mellifluous discourses. He made Punjab the center of his activities and preached extensively in all directions, becoming one of the most reputed orators in India.

Goswamiji helped to spread the message of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu all over the world, tirelessly giving discourses on various scriptures including Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharata, Srimad Bhagavatam, Shri Ramayana, and Shri Chaitanya Charitamrita.
He traveled from Vrindavan to various remote areas across the country, to carry out Lord Chaitanya’s mission of glorifying Harinam. He was an erudite scholar and was well versed in various Vedic scriptures.
His articulate discourses were divine and filled with esoteric philosophical truths, which are aimed at universal welfare. Wherever he spoke, thousands would gather to listen. His magnanimity, soothing advice and genuine concern for all made him distinct among spiritual leaders. His presence made his disciples feel secure.

Goswamiji performed Harinam sankirtan and conducted many congregational preaching activities, which led innumerable devotees to take his shelter. He asked his devotees to dedicate their lives to propagate teachings of Sriman Mahaprabhu and he set the perfect example by continuing the glorious tradition of passing on the ancient wisdom of the scriptures.
We pray to the lotus feet of Shri Gurudev, who is serving Shri Priyapritam in Nityalila, to protect us from all offences and guide us to live our lives filled with bhakti and according to the teachings of Sriman Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
