Vrindavan, 2016.02.08 (VT): After the Prem Mandir, another temple with original modern architecture has been built in Vrindavan and was opened to the public on Monday.
The splendid lotus-shaped temple of Priya Kant ju was inaugurated by the BJP President Amit Shah. Built on the structure symbolizing lotus flower, this 125 feet high Radha Krishna temple is now open for the devotees.
The Governor of Haryana Kaptan Singh Solanki , Cabinet minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Smt. Maya Singh, Chhattisgarh Cabinet Minister Chandrakar and Brij Mohan Agrwal, BJP M.P and National spokesperson Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, BJP National Secretary Shri Srikant Sharma and Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar were the main guests invited by the organizers.
Situated in Vrindavan at Chhatikara Road Priyakant Ju Temple is built under auspicious guidance and leadership of internationally acclaimed Bhagwat Katha exponent Shri Devikinandan Thakur Ji Maharaj by Vishwa Shanti Seva Charitable Trust.
The inauguration ceremony of Priyakantju Temple began with citation of Vedic hymns. Amit Shah inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamps. It was spectacular scene which mesmerized the devotees when choppers showered flowers on Priyakantju from the sky to the sound of devotees were chanting Radhe Radhe. The doors of the temple were opened after the abhishek was performed.
On this occasion Vishwa Shanti Seva Charitable Trust adopted 125 unprivileged poor girls supporting and patronizing the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao mission of Government of India. Trust is shouldering the responsibility for five years of free education for these girl children.
Amit Shah appreciated the efforts of Maharaj Shree Devakinandan Thakur Ji and joyfully distributed bicycles to them as a symbol of the evolution of women’s status in Indian life.
More than two lakh devotees from different parts of the country and abroad came to participate in the ceremony. Thousands of devotees from the USA, Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Singapore, UAE, Australia and South Asian Countries are reaching Vrindavan. Organizers have created a temporary city “Shanti Seva Nagar” spreading over a 60 acre area, from Vaishno Devi all the way to the Nimbarkacharya Gate.
Shri Devikinandan Thakur, the President of the Vishwa Shanti Charitable Trust resolved to build the Priyakantju temple in 2007 . The theme of the construction of this temple is Radha Krishna and their pastimes. Radharani is in the form of Priya Ji and Bhagwan Shri Krishna takes that of of Kant ju giving darshan to the devotees.
This temple is situated on the foundation of structure which lotus is shaped because lotus is most favored flower by Radha Ji. Surrounding the petals of the lotus, there are ponds which gives the feeling of Yamuna River after entering in the temple. The temple was built by Makrana Marbles.
The height of the temple symbolizes the 125 years of Bhagwan Shri Krishna’s lila. The first phase of temple construction started in June 2012.
The celebration of Priyakantju Divya Darshan Mahotsava is being attended by the saints from different parts of the country, such as Nimbark Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Shri Ji Maharaj, Shri Shyam Sharan Dev Ji Maharaj and Shri Rambhadracharya Ji, etc.
The ten days’ celebration will last from February 8th to 17th and will be the scene of different religious, social and cultural activities. Pandit Shri Devkinandan Thakur Jee Maharaj will deliver the nectar of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha from Feb. 10–16. In addition to this there will be hundred and eight Kundiya Narayan Mahayagya for world peace.
