Vrindavan 2016.05.09 (VT): Vrindavan police has taken all the steps to secure the city on the day of Akshay Tritiya which falls on the third Tithi (lunar day) of Bright Half (Shukla Paksha) of the pan-Indian month of Vaishakha and one of the four most important days for Hindus.
Police department has divided the city into two zones, seven sector and two twenty eight sub sectors. The city administration has also taken care of the heat, for which red carpet will be laid from VIP road to Thakur Bankey Bihari Ji temple, so that the devotees can do the Charan Darshan of Thakur J easily.
The charan darshan of Thakur Ji will start on Akshay Tritiya from 7:45 a.m. onwards. Along with that, the seven main temples of Vrindavan viz. Thakur Radha Damodar, Radha Raman, Radha Gopinath, Radha Govind, Radha Madan Mohan, Radha Gokulanand and Radha Shyam Sundar will open their doors for Chandan Sringaar (decorating dieties with sandal wood paste) from 5:30 pm onwards.
DM Rajesh Kumar and SSP Rakesh Kumar Singh held a meeting at Bon Maharaj College to take a note of the security measure on Akshay Tritiya. SDM Kalpana, City Magistrate Ram Araj Yadav, SP CIty Mukul Dwivedi, SP Traffic Ashutosh Mishra, CO Sadar R.K. Gautam were also available in the meeting.
VT has already reported that the administration has planned to deploy 700 policemen to secure the city. Bomb sqaud will also be deployed near Bankey Bihari temple. CCTV cameras are installed at all the main temples and public areas to keep a check on public activities.
