
Mathura, 2015.10.22 (VT, DJ): As Sharad Purnima approaches and Braj is busy celebrating Rama’s Dussehra and Navaratri, celebrations of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s visit to Braj in 1515 are beginning to hit the public eye.
This morning at 8 a.m. the pada-yatra that started on August 5th from Jagannath Puri will arrive at Holi Gate. The devotees will then bathe at Vishram Ghat, following in the footsteps of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s arrival 500 years ago.
The party will then take rest in the Agarwal Dharmashala in Masani.
The group took the Jhari Khand path, following in Mahaprabhu’s footsteps.
Behind this padayatra are Vaishnavacharya Sharad Goswami of Radha Raman temple in Vrindavan, the mahanta of Gaud Batika in Puri, Subal Krishnadas, the mahanta of the Gambhira Krishna Gopal Das, the mahanta of the Tota Gopinath temple, Krishno Baba, and Vrindavan Shyamsundar temple mahanta, Krishna Gopal Das Goswami.
