Vrindavan 2016.09.02 (VT): The Vrindavan Research Institute organised a seminar yesterday in relation to the Braj Sankriti Vishwakosh (Encyclopedia of Braj Culture).
In the seminar, sacred manuscripts from Radha Vallabh community that have been written about in the Vishwakosh were discussed. Along with that, a two days exhibition has also been organised focusing on these manuscripts for which many scholars visited the places.
Acharya Mohit Maral Goswami said that Radha Vallabh community has contributed heavily to Braj culture. Satish Chandra Dixit (Director of the Vrindavan Research Institute) said that a combined effort from all the communities was needed to fully showcase Braj culture. Vishnu Mohan Nagarch said that documenting Braj culture in manuscripts is a symbol of Radha Vallabh community. He also said that it is a great contribution to the society and will guide the upcoming generations.
Radhesh Lal Goswami inaugurated the seminar by igniting lamps. Dr. Braj Bhushan Chaturvedi and Dr. Rajesh Sharma said that Radha Vallabh community is one of the oldest and most important community of Braj that has contributed a lot to Indian culture.
