Barsana 2016.09.10 (VT): Radha Rani, the source of power for Lord Krishna appeared at the home of Vrishbhanu Baba yesterday morning amid abhishek and kirtan. The appearance was so beautiful that devotees from all over the world had mobbed the Shreeji temple to experience it. This was 5,244 appearance of Radha Rani in Braj, since Dwapar Yuga.

Goswami community started singing sohar songs (songs sung during a birth, congratulating parents) at 2 am which ran for two hours. In the meanwhile, temple sewayats started preparing for the abhishek of Ladli Ji. From 2am to 4 am, sewayat did “mool shanty” puja (puja to get all starts in the right position before a child is born) by vedic mantras and aarti.
The deity of Radha Rani was then brought outside the temple altar at 4 am for abhishek which was done using milk, curd, butter, bura, saffron, rose water, butter from cow milk, panch ratna, navratna, etc. The abhishek was one and half hours long during which the sewayats were continuously reciting vedic mantras amid the sounds of bells and conch. Many devotees were also doing kirtan in the compound of Shreeji temple cheering for the Queen of Braj, Radha Rani.

Goswami’s from Nandgaon reached Barsana to wish Vrishbhanu
In Dwapar Yuga, Nand Baba and Yashoda Maiya visited Barsana to congratulate Vrishbhanu Baba and Kirtida Maiya for the birth of Radha Rani. Following the same centuries old traditions, Goswami’s from Nandgaon visited Barsana yesterday to sing sohar for Radha Rani and congratulated the parents. They distributed laddoo also as Prasad to the devotees present there.

Amar Singh at Shreeji temple, Barsana yesterday
MLA from the Samajwadi Party, Amar Singh visited Shreeji temple at Barsana yesterday to take darshan of Radha Rani on the occasion of Radhashtami. He said that Barsana still have the same centuries culture and tradition adn State Government will prepare a development project to make it the superior most sacred place on earth.
