Mathura pay homage to Uri terror attacks martyrs

Mathura 2016.09.20 (VT): Brutal terrorist attack at Uri army base, which killed 17 brave hearts, has left the city boiling as many protests were witnessed yesterday condemning the incident. Many political parties, Bar Association, School, Colleges and general public burned more than 100 mannequins of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to condemn the attacks.

Many schools hosted a candle march to pay their tribute to the martyrs. Public also expressed their anger on social media criticizing the cowardly attacks by the terrorist organisation supported by Pakistan. Citizens also requested the Indian Government to give a befitting reply to Pakistan.

Youth Congress, lead by City Head Mr. Vikram Valmiki, burned the flag of Pakistan at Holi Gate, to mark their protest against the militancy. City Congress Head Abid Hussain along with BraJ Kishor Goswami, Rahul Arora and Manoj Gaur were present there.

Bar Association called for a general meeting to condemn the terrorist attack on our soldiers. After the meeting, a mannequin of Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif was burned amid anti-Pakistan slogans at Collectorate campus. Chairman of the Association Mr. Indra Kumar requested the Indian Government to give a hard and firm reply to Pakistan.

BJP’s ex-city head Mr. Natharam Upadhyay said that Home Minister should prepare for a befitting reply to Pakistan rather than indulging into a dialogue. All India Student Union paid their tribute to the martyrs and prayed for early recovery of the injured soldiers. Samajwadi Party city head Manoj Kumar Yadav along with others paid their tribute for martyrs at the camp office.

BJP hosted a candle march at Masani crossing, under the leadership of senior leader Hemant Kadauli, to stage their protest. 2 minutes of silence was also observed for the martyrs followed by a prayer. Baba Kadhaura Singh school observed silence for a minute to pay their homage to the brave hearts. Mahatma Gandhi Inter College too observed 2 minutes of silence to pay their tribute.

Braj Dhaam School at Pali Dungra to aid their tribute by keeping silence for 2 minutes followed by a candle march to support our soldiers. Bajrang Dal burned a mannequin of Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan to show their anger against the cowardly act.
