Mathura 2016.09.22 (VT): The birth anniversary of Indian philosopher, economist, sociologist, historian, journalist, and political scientist Shri Deendayal Upadhyay will be dedicated to the Indian farmers, villages and irrigation system, which will be the main focus of the event. The event will also have programmes on culture, education and customs, and will run for five days.
Shri Bankey Bihari Maheshwari (Guardian at Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Committee / DUMC) said that all preparations have been done for the event which is starting from Sep 25. Shri Maheshwari further said that Pandit Ji, who was born on Sep 25 1916 at Nagla Chandrbhan, had greatly contributed to the society. Director of the Committee Shri Padam Sigh said that Pandit Ji tought humanity to Indians which will be the core of the birth anniversary celebration, so that the message can be spread in even the remote areas.
Chairman of the Committee Shri Ashok Tentiwal said that Irrigation Ministry, Khadk Gramodyo and other Government and non-Government organisations will set their stall to display irrigational products and plans, as well as to educate farmers. They will also be educated about the breeding of cattle besides other queries by scientists. Shri Radha Mohan Singh (Cabinet Minister of Agriculture) will inaugurate the exhibition on Sep 26.
Senior member of DUMC Dr. Kamal Kaushik said that the programme will start with the kalash yatra on Sep 25 followed by havan, rangoli competition and quiz competition. A general knowledge has also been organised on Sep 26, along with a brain storming session of sants, wrestling competition and Bharat Mata arti. Other days will also have cultural programmes on the same line.
He further said that veterinary clinics, classical songs competition and bhajan sandhya are also in the schedule. National Chairman of Bhartiya Janta Dal Shri Amit Shah and MP Hemal Malini will also join the celebrations on Sep 28.
