No BJP candidate in Pandit Deendayal’s birthplace. Farah Nagar Panchayat will have no BJP candidate due to the reservation of the position of Mayor for persons of scheduled caste. Before the nomination process began, there was speculation that the BJP would have difficulty in finding candidates; however, the enormous popularity of the party has meant that candidates have come forward. It is, however, ironic that a candidate could not be found in Pandit Deendayal’s home town. Deendayal Pt was born in Nagla Chandrabhan in Farah, just off the NH2, on the southern side of Braj Mandal, between Mathura and Agra.
Every year Deendayal Pt’s birthday is celebrated around Braj. Deendayal Pt formulated integral humanism, a philosophy which emphasises that spiritual development is the main priority for political and social leaders. bjp.org says that Pandit Deendayal has been an inspiration to the BJP since the party’s inception. Program teaches how to stay safe on the road and in life. Yesterday, KDS International School, Mathura, held a program with special guests including Vrindavan’s ISKCON temple president, Panchgauda Prabhuji. Chief guest, SP Deshmukh Brajesh Kumar, told children about the importance of following traffic rules, while Panchagauda Prabhuji spoke about the strategy of playing-it-safe, on the road and in life. The police Superintendant told children to request their parents to use helmets and seat belts. Deaf girl raped at school. A 60 year old man entered a Raya school and raped a deaf-mute girl during the lunch hour. The girl’s sister, who also studies at the school, informed teachers and parents. A police case has been filed against the attacker.
As well as being devastating for the family involved, the incident may also have wider ramifications, unless appropriate action is taken by authorities for the protection of school children. Integrated education, which sees diff-abled children studying in mainstream schools, becomes compromised when the diff-abled are victimized. Incidents like this also increase parents’ reluctance to send their daughters to school, which adds to cycle of female illiteracy, poverty and domestic abuse. Read more (Hindi)

After NASA photos of the backburning in Punjab which is adding to the toxic smog in Dehli were published by Financial Express, devotees have gone viral on facebook saying that they will not come to Vrindavan in such conditions. While some may feel that temples around the world offer small islands of sanity and become outreaches of Vrindavan, our spiritual leaders tell us that there is
no substitute for residence in bhoomi Vrindavan.
