Vrindavan, 2015.12.29 (VT): The 78th disappearance day of Shri Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati was celebrated by the Braja Saraswat Gaudiya Sangha at the Krishna Balaram Mandir, in Seva Kunj.
The representatives from all the Gaudiya Maths of Vraja gathered on the Tuesday morning to celebrate the disappearance day of the founder of the Worldwide Gaudiya Math. They were grateful to their founder for showing them the path of bhakti.
The followers of the Gaudiya Math offered their obeisance in front of the image of Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Prabhupada and glorified their founder. Special kirtan was organized to commemorate Prabhupada on his disappearance day.
The acharyas and senior devotees threw light on the teachings of Prabhupada. Presiding over the function Shri Bhaktivedanta Madhusudhan Maharaj said, “Prabhupada advocated chanting mahamantra loudly, attaching oneself to the holy name to drive away inertia and worldly evils.”
Shri Tamal Krishna Das Brahmachari from Imlitala said, “The supreme duty of the most merciful God is to transform the adverse desires of the jivas. To rescue one person from the stronghold of mahamaya is an act of superb benevolence, far superior to opening innumerable hospitals. There is no peace or happiness in our worldly life. Circumstances create turmoil and annoyance.”
Bhaktisundar Narsimha Maharaj said, “When faults in others misguide and delude you – have patience, introspect, find fault in yourself. Know that others can’t harm you unless you harm yourself.”
Other acharyas and devotees shared the story of Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur’s life.
Purushottam Das Shashtri, Navin Krishna Brahmachari, Sacchidananda Maharaj, Bhakti Ranjan Yachak Maharaj, Bihari Lal Shashtri etc. also spoke about his teachings and life.
After Guru Puja and the Madhyahna Arati, mahaprasad was distributed to all.
