Vrindavan, 2016.01.02 (VT): Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Vrindavan Aagaman Panchashati Samiti organized a ‘bhakti –conference’ at Akrur Ghat Temple to discuss about the life and teachings of Shriman Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
The Conference began with worshiping the image of Mahaprabhu. Presiding over the conference Baba Ful Dol Bihari Das highlighted the event of Mahaprabhu’s advent to Vrindavan five centuries back. He glorified the Akrur village as it is blessed to host Mahaprabhu for a month. “This village is a pilgrimage for the devotees of Mahaprabhu. The gopis first experienced the feeling of separation from Krishna in Akrur Ghat, when Shri Krishna and Balaram left for Mathura. The separation from Krishna was again felt here in the same place by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, when he stayed here 500 years before,” said Fuldol Baba.
Bhaktivedanta Madhusudan Maharaj said, “Mahaprabhu relished the Vipralambha Bhaav in Akrur Ghat, where he experienced the unbearable feeling of separation from Krishna as the Gopis felt when Krishna left Vrindavan. Vipralamba Bhaav is a form of love in separation. This bhaav is the highest form of mediation in the Gaudiya Vaishnavism. When Mahaprabhu couldn’t bear the pain of separation, He walked to the transcendental abode of Shri Krishna in Vrindavan, and used to sit for several hours on the bank of Yamuna at Imilitala.”
Dr. Achyut Lal Bhatt, Shri Tamal Krishna Brahmachari, Shri Subal Das, Om Prakash Brajwasi, Bihari Lal Bashishtha, Vinod Dixit, Swami Shreedharacharya etc. also addressed the conference.
‘Chhappan Bhog’ was also offered in the temple on this occasion. A grand feast followed the ‘Bhakti-conference’, in which prasadam was distributed among the devotees.
