CM Yogi promises to bring worldwide fame to Braj’s festivals and culture

Braj, 2018.02.26 (VT) After the successful Rangotsav cultural program in Mathura, CM Yogi instructed local MP Hema Malini to organize more programs at Shri Krishna Janma Bhoomi in Mathura. He said that security needs to be increased and more cultural programs should be held on the temple grounds. The CM also promised to bring the leaders of one state and one country to attend the Holi program at Barsana every year to give the event worldwide publicity.

Hema Malini as Radha Rani

During the inauguration of the Rangotsav program at Mathura, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the audience and answered questions. In response to Ramesh Baba’s question regarding what is being done to restore the Yamuna, the CM said that his government is resolved to clean the Yamuna and said that integrated will be discussed in the Delhi Parliament.

The Rangotsav cultural program was held at Mathura Veterinary University and Cow Research Center. The two day program included performances from India’s top artists, including classical singer Pandit Jasraj, and flute player Padma Bhushan Hari Prasad Chaurasia. On the second day of the program, Hema Malini herself acted as Radha Rani in a Rasa Lila performance.

The CM also visited Lohban village, which has been adopted by Hindustan Times. He encouraged prominent businesses to adopt at least one village so that the villages of Braj can quickly become cleaned and developed to become ‘model villages’. Hema Malini has personally adopted a village and CM Yogi praised her for the commitment she has shown to developing Braj. The CM promised to develop Braj but said that development would be done in according to the cultural and spiritual character of the area.

Manohar Lal Khattar, the CM of Haryana, who accompanied CM Yogi in Braj, attended the Holi program at Shanti Seva Dham where he presented a check to sponsor 125 girls’ education. He addressed the audience, encouraging them to change their thinking in relation to girls and women. He said that the practice of female infanticide must be stopped and that education is the key to improving attitudes towards girls and women.
