Vrindavan, 2018.03.09 (VT) In a recent visit to Vrindavan, Yashodaben Modi visited Banke Bihari temple and Gita Ashram. Yashodaben paid her respects to Swami Geetananda Maharaj’s memorial.
During a 45 minute visit to Gita Ashram on Gandhi Road, Yashodaben spoke to Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avsesh Anand on the phone, saying that she will soon return for a four day visit to Vrindavan. Yashodaben says that she wants to better understand the cultural and spiritual traditions of bhakti in Vrindavan.
Yashodaben has become an icon of respectable womanhood after she lived a simple life as a teacher, staying with her brother’s family after PM Modi took Sanyasa and left the house after only three months of marriage.
During her visit to Braj, Yashodaben performed abhishek of Giriraj in Govardhan for the first time and attended a wedding in Hathras.
Yashodaben stayed in Bihariji temple for around 20 minutes. After her visit Gita Ashram, she left to return by car to Gujarat.
