Mathura / Vrindavan, 2016.01.21 (VT): The second phase of the ‘Gau – raksha samvad Yatra’ commenced from Vishram Ghat on Thursday. The Yatra (tour) is being organized to educate people across the country about the cow protection. The Yatra is being organized under the banner of the Global Naitik Siksha Kendra.
The Gosevaks performed pujan and offered prayer to Yamuna for the success of the Yatra. The saints and the renowned social personalities from Mathura flagged off the Yatra at 9.30 a.m. which headed for Vrindavan.
The Yatra reached Vrindavan at 10.30 where it received a warm welcome at Radhey Kunj. Then it reached on the bank of Yamuna in Vrindavan at Imlital Ghat, where a large number of saints and go-bhakts assembled to pledge their support for the cause.
Shri Narayan Das Maharaj, the proponent of the Yatra elaborated that the purpose of organizing this tour is to propagate the concept of cow protection and promoting cow based economy. The yatra will go to Noida, Bulandshahar, Hathras and several other towns of Uttar Pradesh from Vrindavan. It will enter Bihar after 15 days. Then it will go the various states of West Bengal, Odhisha, Assam, Andhra, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, and Gujarat before it ends in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.

He further added, “Iskcon bliss, ekta parishad, Bharatiya Kisan Union and other organizations have promised their assistance for the success of the Yatra.”
Shri Fuldol Bihari Das, President of the Chatusampradaya Virakt Vaishnava Parishad and Bhaktivedanta Madhusudan Maharaj exhorted that there was a need to re-establish cow based economy to protect the cows. People need to be informed how they can gain from the cow products.
Shri Tamal Krishna Das and Bihari Lal Bashishtha advocated for a frequent dialogue between the go-bhakts, so that they can constantly discuss the measures being taken to protect the cows.
Shri Subal Das and Braja – bandhu Das said that it was unfortunate that the cows are killed for beef and leather in the country where cow is considered as the holy mother. A large scale public awareness programme is essential to educate people about the use of cows.
