Live darshan of Vrindavan Temples soon on mobile app

Vrindavan, 2016.02.16 (VT): The day is not far off when a mobile app will connect devotees to the temples of Vrindavan. Devotees from around the world will soon be able to get information about the activities of the temples, have live darshan of the Lordships of Vrindavan, and enjoy Yamuna Arati on their mobile phone.

MVDA vice chairman Shri C.P. Singh has begun accepting proposals from various companies specializing in the making of the mobile applications.

Shri Rajeev Yadav, who represents a software company in Jharkhand’s Parasnath city, said that the mobile application will provide the facility of daily darshan and updates about the opening and closing of the temples, including the timings of the aarati, bhog and other day to day activities.

The mobile app will also give information about trains in order to reach Vrindavan. It will display the exact distance of each temple from the railway station and bus stands. Visitors can have access to information about hotels, guest houses and other places of accommodation. Moreover, the app will give the exact locations of the parking places and public conveniences.

According to Shri S.B. Singh, Secretary of the Mathura Vrindavan Development Authority, the mobile app will act as a navigator for the temple town of Vrindavan.

It should be noted that Vrindavan has been selected in both of the Heritage City as well as Model City plans. The Detailed Project Report for both plans are still being made.

Developing a mobile app was recommended in the model city meeting in which many residents from Vrindavan participated.
