Mathura, Vrindavan 2016.04.20 (VT): Government is investing huge amount to make the villages clean and infection free, but the condition of the villages still remain the same. Most of the organisation assigned to do clean the villages are rather cleaning off the government funds.
ANM and Panchayat head form the organisations to clean the respective villages. These organisations get an amount of 10,000 rupees per annum from the Health Department, which they are unable to utilize in the betterment of the village. They get this fund under the National Health Rural Mission (NRHM), but its not been utilized to disinfecting the village not to clean it. As the summer approaches, the infection and diseases from the squalor, seems to the next epidemic.
The villagers have informed our corespondent that garbage can be seen all over the village and drain water is flowing on the road. As a result mosquito population is on a rise. They also told that hardly any one comes to clean the village, and now they have even stopped to disinfect the villages.
