Kosikalaan 2016.06.02 (VT): Mathura Police ran a campaign against encroachers on Wednesday and imposed fine on whosoever found guilty. Senior Police Officer Narendra Singh Yadav and Inspector Lokesh Bhaati started the campaign from Sabji Mandi area where they found only a narrow passage left for traffic movement.

Police team removed the encroachment to broaden the path and fined 25 encroachers for illegally occupying the public area. They also removed the temporary shops established on the public route. Many people tried to protest the campaign which the Police team dealt with forcefully for the public benefit. The Public also supported the action which further motivated the Police.

People said that the local shops in the market are illegally occupying the public areas in front of them and then renting them out to temporary shop owners to set up their own kiosks and so on. This increases problems for traffic movement. The police were responding to public complaints.
