Vrindavan 2016.07.29 (VT): Sants came together yesterday to save the save the sacred place of Radha & Krishna from monkeys. They have also given a warning to do a protest march, should the Government and city administration do nothing about it. Social workers and doctors have also joined the cause to save the holy city.
MRC Vrinda Charitable Trust held a meeting yesterday at the Vairagi Baba Ashram located at Parikrama marg in which Sants, Hindu associations, social workers and doctors participated. Mahant Haribol Maharaj said that the local or visitors from various countries, no one is safe from the terror of monkeys. Monkeys are injuring many people daily, which at times is very serious.
Sant Govindanand Tirth said that many protest marches have been held previously to limit monkeys in the city, but no action has been taken yet. MLA Pradeep Mathur said that he will raise the issue again in the parliament. Samajwadi Party representative Dr. Ashok Agrawal said that he will talk to the State Government to get a solution of this serious issue.
Chairman of MRC Vrinda Charitable Trust Dr. Abhishek Sharma suggested taking the issue online. He said that nowadays as everyone is using social media sites, we can seek support on them. Huge support from people all over the social media will pressurise the Government to take necessary steps as soon as possible.
