Vrindavan 2016.08.30 (VT): On Monday, Divisional Commissioner Chandra Kant inspected developmental projects in Vrindavan worth Rs. 250 crores running in the city. During the inspection, he found low pace of work, absence of bar charts showing project progress and poor planning against which he expressed his concern and anger.
He also rebuked the EO for the squalor all around the city.
DC Chandra Kant along with CDO Manish Verma, MVDA Vice Chairman Chandra Prakash Singh, MVDA Secretary Vijay Kumar and City Magistrate Ram Araj Yadav, inspected the multi-storied parking place, along with the cycle track, footpath, auditorium under construction at Rukmani Vihar, as well as the riverfront development at Keshi Ghat.
The Commissioner scolded Mr. U. S. Sengar (Project Manager from Jal Board Contruction & Design Services) for the slow pace of work at the auditorium. Mr. Chandra Kant also looked at the progress report of Junior Engineer Shailendra Srivastava for developmental work at Keshi Ghat and asked CDO to make a report of why it has been halted for so many weeks.
He further instructed Srivastava that they can start the landscaping and other works for as long as the Yamuna is flooded. He reminded him that the deadline for completing the development project for six ghats is in December this year.
Later on while inspecting the city, Commissioner reprimanded the Executive Officer for the poor condition of the city, as refuse is lying all around it. EO T. N. Chaubey has asked for two days to make the city clean.
