Barsana 2016.09.07 (VT): Appearance day of Lalita Sakhi, best friend of Radha Rani was celebrated today, two days before Radhashtami (appearance day of Radha Rani).
The programme started at 12 pm in the temple of Lalita Sakhi located at Unchagaon, along with the celebrations at Laldli Ji temple at Barsana. The priest did a grand abhishek of Shri Lalita Sakhi amid kirtan from the devotees. The temple was built during the rule of Mughal emperor Akbar, where the Head Priest of Lalita Peeth, Shri Krishna Nand Sharan Telang did abhishek from panchamrit made up of milk, curd, honey, bura, butter, etc.
The appearance day of Shri Lalita Sakhi falls two days prior to the appearance day of Radha Rani. During the celebrations at both the temple, devotees from round the world participated which made it grand. Sants from various regions also participated in the celebrations.
Devotees started thronging for Radhashtami
Devotees from all over the world have started thronging Barsana’s Shreeji temple. Bhajan kirtan can be heard round the clock these days as devotees of all sects have made the area merrier at the moment.
City administration too has started their preparations. Temporary health camps have already been installed under the supervision of CMO Dr. Vivek Mishra.
