Nepal PM Shri Pushp Kamal Dahal Prachand has assured NES to take the issue with the Indian Central Government and get a resolution soon.
200 years old Bhajan Kuti ashram is located on Vrindavan parikrama marg and is being looked after by the Nepali community, which has strength of around 3,500 in Vrindavan. Last year on the mod-night of Nov. 6, land mafia destroyed the ashram using JCB, in an attempt to get hold of the land for commercial projects. Later on the city administration acted swiftly and suspended 2 sub-inspectors and 8 constables. The Nepali community was also given back he hold of the ashram, by the city administration.
Ashram secretary Balkrishna Devacharya said that the goons entered mid-night and took away the statue of Thakur Ji, ornaments, cows and six sants who are still missing till date. He also said that Police is yet to taken any action on the land mafia despite of several complaints from the Bhajan Kuti. He also said that some goons entered the ashram on Sep. 10 also at mid-night 3am and thrashed sant Keshav Sharana and Sadhvi Savitri Pokhre, but police hasn’t taken any action on them also.
Getting remedy from nowhere, the ashram representatives finally escalated the issue to NES which is the national front of Nepali community in India. Mr. Kamal Khanal (National Chairman of NES) and Mr. Thakur Khanal (Secretary of NES) further escalated the case with the Nepali PM yesterday, who has assured them to get a solution soon for the Nepali community in Vrindavan.
A team from Nepal Embassy also visited the ashram earlier this year, but nothing happened after that. Even the main accused got bail soon after the convoy left for Delhi.
