Vrindavan 2016.09.17 (VT): City Magistrate Ram Araj Yadav inspected the riverfront development project yesterday and expressed his unhappiness over its slow pace. He rebuked the officers of UP Project Corporation and reminded them of the deadline once again.
Yesterday City Magistrate made a surprise visit to check the Keshi Ghat “Riverfront Development and Beautification Project” only to find that the work status is same as it was two months back. Even the poclain machine and more than half dozen employees were also not available at site to supervise the project, which fumed him.
The project, worth 180 crore rupees was started 4 months back to develop six riverfront of Yamuna including Keshi Ghat, Cheer hat, Jugal Ghat, Shringar Vat, etc. But the project is lacking behind since its inception and hasn’t met a single deadline till date.
City Magistrate said that the work is scheduled to be completed by November end but the progress is so slow that meeting the deadline is almost impossible. He further said that this is one of the dream projects of Akhilesh Yadav’s Government. Though, the officers of UP Project Corporation have assured again that the project will be completed in time.
