Vrindavan 2016.09.19 (VT): Chief Minister of State Akhilesh Yadav is being speculated to visit Vrindavan in the first week of October. The CM visit will be to inaugurate the multi-level parking place being built at Chatikara, besides checking the progress of the “Riverfront Development Project” at Keshi Ghat, labelled as the dream project of State Government.
Government officials have already started preparing as per the indications received from Lucknow. Though the visit is expected in the first week of October, officials can be seen preparing for it 15 days in advance. Even the respective project managers and private companies associated with the respective projects have been asked to increase the pace of development.
During the visit, CM Akhilesh Yadav is expected to inmspect the multi-level parking at Chatikara road, cycle track, auditorium, widening of roads, footpath constructions, and the riverfront development project at Keshi Ghat.
DM Dr. Nitin Bansal have guided City Magistrate Ram Araj Yadav to supervise the Keshi Ghat project personally. As per the instructions, Shri Yadav has asked the UP Projects Corporation (project contractor) to speed up the project so that the progress can be visible by September end. The instructions have also made it clear that Yamuna shouldn’t look dried up or empty also and that the river should have sufficient water during CM’s visit. Extra labours and machines have been installed at the Ghat to increase the project speed.
The Keshi Ghat project has October as deadline but is lacking any progress from the past three months. The contractor says that the work was halted due to rainy season and high water level in Yamuna. Few days back City Magistrate rebuked the related authorities of the project over the slow pace of development.
