Mathura 2016.09.20 (VT): Rajkiya Vahan Chalak Sangh (RVCS, a driver’s association of State owned vehicles) staged a State wide protest yesterday to get their agenda’s accepted by the State Government.
RVCS has called for a State wide protest to raise the three fold demand in front of the State Government. The demands are increasing the salary grade from Rs. 1,900 to Rs. 2,000; reducing the percentage of driver’s posts; and increase the dearness allowance equivalent to basic pay in every month’s salary. The members even did a blockade in front of Collectorate stopping the cars of District Magistrate Dr. Nitin Bansal and other officials.
As per the schedule, RVCS members stopped the car of City Magistrate Ram Araj Yadav and asked him not to use the Government vehicle as of now. Seeing the trend, City Magistrate started walking to the office leaving his car behind. Later on the protestors stooped the car of ADM (Revenue) Ravindra Kumar. ADM assured them that their demands will be fulfilled, and then left his Government vehicle.
Later yesterday, when protestors stopped the car of DM Dr. Nitin Bansal at Collectorate, SO (Sadar) reached the spot to keep the situation under control. The protestors retaliated to the interference of SO which resulted in heated arguments between both the parties. DM intervened in between to assure the protestors that he will raise the issue with CM AKhilesh Yadav and will try to get the demands meet. He also accepted not to use Government vehicle till that time, except special situations.
