Vrindavan 2016.09.27 (VT): IIT Roorkee professors are preparing a report on the Yamuna Riverfront Development Project, which will include the flaws in the project. The report will be submitted to the UP State Government soon for the analysis and further actions. The professors have already started their work by visiting the project site, as well as checking the homework of various departments before commencing the project.

Professor Dr. Vijay Kumar Nangia (Department of management Studies, IIT Roorkee) cross checked the managerial actions taken by S.K. Goyal (Ex.EN, Irrigation Department), Revenue Department and UP Construction Corporation. Professor Nangia said that the inspection and assistance from IIT Roorkee will ensure the timely completion of project without any hindrances.

He further said that the construction work includes some area of Jugal Kishore temple, which has been preserved by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). He said that the approval from ASI for two 130 meters land is under process so that the development can be started at those places.

The approval from ASI can be provided on the basis of changed rules in the year 2010, which states that even District Magistrate can approve some developmental projects within the radius of 130 meters from the ASI protected monument. Several stake holders and general public is also been questioned about the developmental project.
