Kartik Niyam Seva festivity to begin from tomorrow

Vrindavan, 2016.10.11 (V.T): The hotels and guesthouses are booked, as the 34 day long Kartik Niyam Seva begins from tomorrow on Ekadashi. The devotees in big numbers visit Vrindavan from around the world in big numbers. They follow strict rules related to their bhajans and adopt satvik lifestyles for the month long festivity. Many take the vow of bathing early in the morning, cooking food with their own hands, walking barefoot in Shri Dham Vrindavan and other parts of Vraja, increasing the number of rounds of their japa, reading the sacred texts that describe the holy pastime of the Lord.
Devotees offer lamps to the deities in the morning and in the evening during the aratis. They perform four round of Parikrama of Shri Radha Damodar Mandir, which is the special attraction of this auspicious month. The Parikrama of the Radha Damodar Mandir resembles on full Parikrama of Shri Govardhan hill. Many devotees take the vow of daily parikrama of Shri Dham Vrindavan or Govardhan.
The Sapta Devalaya Temple will begin to attract the devotees since early in the morning at 3 a.m. for Mangala Arati. The markets and small lanes of Vrindavan are thronged with the devotees doing Nagar Sankirtan and chanting the holy name.
The Gaudiyas specially observe Kartik Vrata for worshipping and pleasing the Divine Couple. They sing the songs of the various pastimes of the Lordships and full heartedly glorify Lord Damodara of Gokul throughout this month and devotedly worship the mischievous and beautiful form of the Lord Krishna.
