Vrindavan, 2017.01.21 (VT): Commuting through the narrow lane leading to Cheer Ghat from Nidhivan has become nightmare for the residents as well as the pilgrims. The road has been dug up for last two months is in a complete mess and there seems to be no sign of improvement.

A perfectly good road was dug up to lay the drinking water pipe line from Cheer Ghat to Patthar Pura before two months. This lane is very important, as it connects Nidhivan, Shahji Mandir, Radha Raman Mandir with Cheer Ghat on the Vrindavan Parikrama Marg.

The residents demanded urgent attention of the authorities concerned. A complaint regarding the pathetic condition of the road has been sent to the District Magistrate of Mathura. Angry residents have resolved to agitate if their demand is not given heed.

The broken road is a threat to the lives of citizens and the motorists in particular.
“It is a night mare to commute through this road. It is difficult to drive or walk along the street as road in utter mess,” said Kishan Goswami, a resident of the locality.p7

Another resident, Shri Murli Sharma said, “The stagnant sewer water in the blocked drain can cause severe health hazard apart from damaging the buildings.”
