Mathura Railway Station Wins Awards

Vrindavan, Jan 23 (PTI): The North Central Railway has announced cash awards for Mathura’s railway station and its employees, for sanitation and ensuring smooth travel for passengers.

“Yesterday the General Manager of the North Central Railway, Arun Saxena awarded 5,000 rupees each for sanitation and for ensuring smooth facilitation of trains arriving and departing the Mathura Railway Station,” Station Director NP Singh said.

A reward of Rs 10,000 was also given for excellent maintenance of the driver-guard lobby, he said.

Station employee Mr. Sriram Meena was given a special award for issuing 950 tickets in a single day during his eight-hour duty, Singh said.

“A group award of Rs 5,000 was also awarded for train operation at Ajhai station on the Mathura-Kosi line. Mr. Lal Babu Rai of gate No. 538 was rewarded for excellent knowledge of the rail operation system,” he added.
