Vrindavan, 2017.01.22 (VT): The western devotees used art to express the beauty of the heritage Yamuna ghats of Vrindavan. They expressed their feeling to preserve the heritage ghats, which are in dilapidated condition.

The devotees were seen drawing the picture of the Nabhawali ghat on Sunday. This ghat is being restored under the ‘Hriday’ project of the Ministry of Urban Development.
The devotees named Sasha and Lisa, who live in Raman Reti area of Vrindavan, have been drawing the images of the picturesque ghats.
They said that the ancient pillars, arches and jharokhas resemble the significance of the heritage monuments. They must be preserved, for the future generations. The devotees have been drawing the images of the other ghats and buildings too.Image may be NSFW.

“We want to take home the memory of Vrindavan, and the memory can be best preserved by painting and using the colors. We can share these images of Vrindavan experience with our friends in Russia,” said one of the artists.
The artists used water color, oil, pen and pencil, putting the beauty of the ghats on canvas. Art lovers and other devotees turned up at the site to see their work.
According to Dr. Chandra Prakash Sharma, a senior member from the Brajwasi community, “The ghats were the signature of Vrindavan, most of which have been buried under the debris due to neglect by the residents and the government.”
