The police have arrested two youth in connection with robbing a Western devotee. Search for the third is under way. Thursday night, 56 year-old Ukranian devotee named Gopaladakshi Devi Dasi was robbed in an auto by three boys. The stolen bag and purse had items worth about forty-thousand rupees.
The police acted swiftly, and after extensive investigation arrested two youth who confessed to the crime upon interrogation. The apprehended youth are Pooran, son of Vishnu, a resident of Saunkh Mogorra, and Vikram Thekedar, son of Suraj, a resident of Lakhimpur Khiri. Both are aged around eighteen to twenty, and live with their respective families in Varaha Ghat, in Vrindavan. The police is searching for the third accomplice named Panchu from Kanpur.
All the valuables have been successfully retrieved.
