Vrindavan 2016.07.12 (VT): Iskcon Vrindavan (Krishna Balram temple) will be celebrating the grand Rath Yatra festival of Lord Jagannath on July 17. In order to give the celebration a majestic look, temple have arranged for a flower rain using helicopter service.

PRO of the temple Ravilochan Das said that the Rath Yatra will start at 11 am from Chatikara road which will reach Iskcon temple via Vidyapeeth crossing, Atalla Chungi, Parikrama marg and Lalita Ashram. For this special chariot have been prepared which is 25 feet in height, 19 feet in length and 9 feet in width.
He said that Shrila Prabhupada started Jagannath Rath Yatra festival in 1967 in San Francisco, USA, which Iskcon communities are following all over the world. The festival will be celebrated with a group of devotees doing kirtan for the Lords. This devotee group will have members from across the country, including other devotees from across the globe to be a part of the Jagannath Rath Yatra celebration in Vrindavan.

Various tableaus have also been prepared to showcase the pastimes of Radha and Krishna during the festival. Seasonal fruits will also be distributed reflecting the culture in Jagannath Puri. Ravilochan das said that this type of Rath Yatra celebration started last year only in Iskcon Vrindavan.
