Mathura 2016.08.10 (VT): Mathura Municipal Corporation has already started preparing as Janmashthami approaches in the city of Lord Krishna. For better results, Mathura Municipal Corporation (MMC) has divided the city into five sectors.
In the meeting held yesterday at MMC office, EO Dr. Brijesh Kumar has divided the city into five sectors for cleaning and waste management. Each sector has been designated with a cleaning and food inspector. These inspectors have been guided to be in continuous touch with the employees in cleaning department so that the city can be kept clean effectively. Sweeping machine has also been installed on main roads.
Small teams of sweepers have also been formed to be deployed near Shri Krishna Janmsthan and Dwarikadheesh temple. MC has also decided to spread red carpet for devotees who will walk down to temples.
MC Chairwomen Manisha Gupta has instructed to remove all the garbage from the main roads before the festival in Aug 25. Roads will also be repaired to give comfort to visitors. A temporary health camp will also be installed behind KGS, to tackle any medical emergency. Six entry doors to the city will also be prepared at different areas. MMC has also decided to place mobile toilets at various locations for public convenience.
Drinking water facility will also be provided by MMC at all 12 parking places and at other major areas. Water tankers will also be deployed to maintain continuous supply of water.
