Vrindavan 2016.09.17 (VT): The Urban Development Minister Md. Azam Khan was at Govardhan yesterday for the inauguration ceremony of Swami Adhyokhshajanand Cowshed. During the ceremony Khan supported the cause of cow protection and held the Center for the increase in the cow slaughter.
Speaking in function yesterday, Urban Development Minister said that the Ganga, cows, mountains, rivers, moon and stars all belong to Allah and we must make our efforts to protect and save them for our future generations. He further said that Babri Masjid issue and other contentious issues raised by the BJP, led country to the dark days of the history. He further said that if Samajwadi Party will form Central Government, it will reunite the nation.
Pointing at the Modi Government, Azam Khan said that the sale of beef has increased three fold after the BJP led Government has taken charge at the Centre. He further said that the State Water Board plans are all midway as Central Government was not releasing funds as promised. Even the State Government employees were not getting salary on time due to fund crisis generated by the Modi Government, he said.
Continuing with the attacks on Modi Government, Mr. Azam Khan said that Modi shouldn’t not have gone to Pakistan to celebrate the birthday of Pakistani PM, as its soldiers beheaded the Indian soldiers. He said that Modi should not be gentle to such countries that are spreading terrorism in India. He also cornered Central Government for its policy failures in Kashmir.
When asked about the internal disputes in Samajwadi Party, he said that these are just misunderstandings and that Amar Singh was responsible for it. Khan said that party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav would decide solve the issues soon and the guilty will be charged.
MLA Munawar Salim appreciated Urban Develpment Minister for spreading love in the land of Krishna, while others are busy dividing the society. Swami Adhyokhshajanand elaborated the importance of cow in braj and associated it with the pastimes of Lord Krishna. Swami Ji also appreciated the Minister for putting his efforts for the cow protection and greeted him with a souvenir and a shawl.
Samajwadi Party’s leader Thakur Kishor Singh and Jitu Thakur greeted the Minister with a garland made up of 51 kilograms of flowers. Prashant Yadav (member of the Transport Department) gifted him a souvenir of cycle, symbol of SP. Shri Khan also inaugurate a water facility and road at Govardhan.
Protest by Anganbari members
Anganbari members also visited the inauguration ceremony to meet the Urban Development Minister. Their meeting with the Minister was assured by the District Magistrate Dr. Nitin Bansal. But till late afternoon when the meeting didn’t occurred and the Minister was leaving the venue after the programme, the Anganbari members tried to stage a protest and stop his car.
Seeing the seriousness, Police intervened and pushed the protestors back using force, which wounded many Anganbari members.
