Vrindavan 2016.09.21 (VT): Sarswat Sabha has expressed deep grief on the sad demise of Shri Gopal Goswami, who was also a sewayat at Thakur Bankey Bihari temple. In a meeting called in to mourn for the sad demise of Goswami Ji, members of the association remembered his tribute towards music, Braj culture and society.
Senior member of the association Shri Krishna Saras said that Goswami Ji was a very simple and soft-spoken person. He was very humble which used to attract all. Government of India issued postal stamps with the image of Swami Haridas only because of the political influence of Goswami Ji.
Speaking further about Goswami Ji, Shri Krishna Saras said that by organising Swami Haridas Sangeet Mahotsav in Vrindavan, Goswami Ji made the holy city a global attraction for music lovers.
Shri Liladhar Pathak and Shri Ramesh Chandra said that the Shri Gopal Goswami Ji was full of creativity and was not a normal person. They said that the untimely demise of Goswami Ji is a great loss to the society.
All India Brahmin Association has expressed sorrow for the sudden death of Goswami Ji, who was the “shayan bhoga” sewayat at Thakur Bankey Bihari Ji. Shrinath Saraswat, Shashi, Bihari Lal Vashishth, Bhagwat Sharan Gautam, Pratyush Goswami, Balo Pandit, Pradeep Goswami, Anand Gopal Mishra, Ashok Goswami, Ashok Vaidya, Arvind Goswami, Ravi Sharma, Balram Panda and Devendra Sharma were also present in the meeting.
